Maryland Memories

C. Dove

My Maryland memories, keep running through my mind
And old Baltimore is to me, the love I left behind
Oh the sweetest of memories, won't fade away with time

Mountaintops to rolling hills
Valleys full of daffodils
Black-eyed Susans all along the way
Farms and fields and country towns
Rolling trains, city bound
Rivers bringing water to the bay

Days along the Eastern Shore
Fun filled nights in Baltimore
To Camden Yards, to watch the O's play ball
3-2 the count, with 3 men on
Hit so hard the ball was gone
You could hear the crowd from miles away

Dogwoods, honeysuckle vines
Smelled sweet, smelled so fine
As we walked the water at the shore
Steamed blue crabs, and friends around
Listening to a good old sound
Memories of days that went before
