Alex Hargreaves

Alex Hargreaves is a fiddler known for wide-ranging acoustic musicianship and improvisational versatility, and he tours full time as the fiddle player in Billy Strings’ band. His work draws from multiple traditions while staying grounded in string-band and bluegrass language. 1

After appearing frequently as a guest, Hargreaves became a permanent member of the touring band on July 3, 2022, expanding the group from a quartet to a five-piece. He is now consistently listed as the band’s fiddler in the current lineup. 2
