Billy Failing

Billy Failing is a banjo player, guitarist, singer, and songwriter who is best known as the banjo player in Billy Strings’ touring band. Based in Colorado, he is also active as an artist in his own right, leading projects under his own name alongside his long-running work with Strings. 1

Failing’s playing is a key part of the band’s sound, providing both traditional bluegrass drive and flexibility for extended live improvisation. He is consistently listed as the banjoist in the Billy Strings touring lineup. 1
